Modern times come talk me down

Who would have thought that it’s been two years already since I brought this blog to life, I’m actually surprised (supplied) myself. It’s fun to look at the old times tho, you know, just after you get that idea to create a blog on the internet for the very first time and you don’t really know what to do with it for a long while kinda thing? it’s funny if you ask me(spoiler: when you hit the 30 posts barrier it’s downhill from there, after that you know where you’re going with your stuff and it gets more interesting for everybody). So it’s two years later now and I guess I gotta keep going, especially because my 90,000+ guest visits is something to be proud of, thanks all!

It’s september already so It’s back to school for me, and that means a lot of time to read a book or two in the subway. As I’m on the subject of books, I wish I had access to W.Suworow books, maybe they aren’t the best books out there but I really like my private vision of a russian KGB agent, Anastasia. Kinda hot isn’t it? woman secret killer agent, “Control” I think that was the name of that book. Anyway, everytime I read or watch something about the future, everything with the concept of Big Brother system in it I’m a little bit surprised how people don’t see that we already might be living in one. Bladerunner and Fifth Element with sky high buildings and flying cars, corporations ruling the world with huge billboards of the size of a football pitch. Where have I seen this, ow yea I know where ( maybe except flying cars). In New York. I totally don’t get how people just can’t seem to connect the dots.

A city of eight million strangers. Many ask me how I do It that I photograph people on the street and nobody is bothering me about it, that I just get away with it. Usually I answer something about my super technique etc and sometimes I mention something about the law that lets you shoot whatever the hell you want as long as you’re in public, but now when I think of it, i think that they (people) just don’t give a ****. I don’t even remember the last time somebody stopped and asked me what am I doing here and why am I taking this and that picture (except the police, will come to that in a moment). If you think about it, we’ve come to live in a time where you can actually die on the street and nobody would care about it (something comforting). It’s that famous NYC “I don’t care whether you’re dressed like a spiderman or naked on the street” kinda attitude. In the beginning you’re like, wow, what a tolerant and free country this is, simply amazing, civilized, wow, I wanna live here. Doesn’t it sound like from a futuristic fantasy movie? After some three years of shooting streets of New York City I find it hard not to be sure about it, I would say that it’s not close to being tolerant or amazing, it’s just plain vacuum, do people know what to do with freedom? (imagine a bulb full of water and a gold fish in it and call it freedom) Though idea, I know. Have you ever thought that it would be awesome to rule the world? Hitler wanted to rule the world. What’s the problem in this, ow yes, other people want to rule the world too, that’s the problem. Damn these people, I wanna be the ultimate emperor. But since I can’t be the emperor because It’s considered bad to be so greedy and rule all the world and have all the wealth, and since I am good and I will go burn in hell if I do that, I can’t think about rulling the world. Governments can’t rule the world because they want to protect me. Forgot what your mommy told you about not talking to people who smile to you and offer you a candy? if you’re in the end of the food chain, you can’t possibly think that somebody would be such an ass to rule you with a bunch of other billion people. That would be just so impossible. What about if you were filthy rich? well, it suddenly doesn’t sound so bad. Why not right?

After a longer while of trekking around you see that people walk the streets like programmed machines, from A to Z, talk on the phone, check blackberries, enter the subway, leave the subway, small talk here and there because it’s rude to say get lost, being polite, minding your own business, people are separated and isolated by concrete walls, just as they are separated, isolated by wireless connections. I think it’s the first time that we’re sooo connected that we feel disconnected with the world. Unless you can’t connect the dots here and figure out what’s going on around you, then yes, we’re not living the Matrix movie, it’s just a movie for our enjoyment. We are programmed to do stuff, you are born and you are programmed by religion, later on you discover that santa doesnt exist and babies don’t fall from the sky, but still, a supernatural god is unqestionable, because so. Ask somebody “why” and most of the times they will answer, “what do you mean”. It’s that obvious. It kinda bends my mind a bit, we got that huge Hadron Accelerator at Cern, and 80 percent of people on this planet can’t imagine what it really does or why do we need one. To be able to imagine what it does or how it’s possible is another story. ( There was even one girl in India, she committed suicide because she heard the rumours about the end of the world due to the Hadron Collider. I rest my case.) So we got this Hadron thing, it exists and all, on the other hand we got all these books and movies that talk about the future world etc. Global government, etc. Everything that a human being is able to imagine, will sooner or later be invented and produced. Just like it is today, yesterday’s concept are today’s reality. But still, we don’t accept the world of Orwell, but we believe in God. When people got imaginary friends they go check themselves. That’s how it works.

Anyway, what else, united against the enemy. Bladerunner and androids, why androids where bad? cause they had free will and they wanted to be free. Whatever the enemy is, the government has to fight that enemy in the name of God. (it’s kinda sad how our newest war ALSO is a war because GOD wants it) Because the God is good and he doesn’t mind the killing even tho it says otherwise in the Holy Bibble. We are scared and we want justice, on this side of the globe, justice is the will of the stronger party. Let’s crush the enemy and get it done already. I dare to say that this war will end with a Riot. Human Riot. There’s that fear and desperation in people’s eyes. What if somebody attacks us? it’s there. What if there’s a need for a new law? to protect us from all evil people around us, how to make people want the law? how to make them want the new law even if it’s against them? Fear. Bomb something. Pour some blood on the streets. Nowadays, you ride the subway and a voice from the speaker tells you that you and your belongings might be a subject to a random search by the police, just like that, there’s that poster everywhere in the city “If you see something, say something”, remember to be on high alert all the time, fear is in your shadow and enemy is just around the corner, maybe it’s that photographer, why is he photographing that white wall? there is no explanation to that, I better call the police oh boy oh boy let’s turn against each other in the war against illusion.

Where was I, oh there are signs everywhere that tell you to leave this and that property and if you go downtown, to the oldest area in nyc, wall street, a guy with a submachine gun and a bullet vest taking a stroll around a building is nothing out of the ordinary. He is permitted to shoot you or threaten you if you do stupid stuff. It’s for protection they say, but a protection from who? (zee germans?) they also say it’s for your own protection. But you know what? Don’t you think it’s a protection from you, me, from all the people around. Book? fake? real? Either you’re with us or against us. If you don’t give out control, guess who you are? You’re the guys they keep talking about since seven years and a couple of days ago, it is you and me. Enslaved by a variety of available options, by the delusion of freedom. In the twenty first century, we’re landless, not homeless. You’re probably wondering right now, gee, this guy is really trippin here but you know what? you just gotta be blind not to see that. If I were to make a movie about what’s going on in today’s world, and would tell my actors to wear weird cosmic stuff, give them unbelievable laser guns, people would still see no connection with real events. There’s also this amazingly cool thing about a conspiracy about a conspiracy. Crazy stuff.

I donno whether you’ve seen “Funny Games” but in short it’s using against you everything what you’ve been taught all your life, and guess who is also using this against you? remember you have a right to remain silent and everything you say may be used against you, so don’t panic, don’t make any crazy moves or drastic measures are gonna get down on your ass. And if you feel bad about it, there are special zones where you can talk about it out loud. You haven’t heard there is no free speech? ow yea right, nobody mentioned this on TV. Because if you knew you would DO something right? A nice and silent abuse through the use of polite questions, for your protection of course. So what’s my point? well, when you see the big image you’re kinda disgusted how unaware everybody is, how is everyone busy filling free time. How everybody is busy fullfilling their schedule. When I read G.Orwell 1984 in elementary school I thought it would never ever happen because it’s just impossible, I thought that people would never let that happen, now I see that we will give away control in exchange for the ability to consume goods and live life without the burden of worrying about what goes on in the world. And if you want to change this, you cant because our current system (starts with a D ends with Y) favours the uninformed. How can it be bad? since they say it’s so good? Do you think red communists thought they had a bad system? of course not, we did, because our is better right? That’s what we are. Duracell batteries. It’s totally mind bending I know, It hurts my brain as well. Ah, Alaska, what a great place to live. The hell with it, I might just switch to landscape photography or portait alltogether. Looking at this through my viewfinder hurts my eyes. Remember, future starts now.

Looks like Sony/BMG is disabling built in youtube embedding on their content so go here and here for the rest of the videos.

Życie to generalnie walka o przetrwanie i pozycję.
I ludziom to odpowiada.

Rezygnacja i poddaństwo - czyli dorosłość.
