Tri Hard III
So that’s it, that’s the swim part. Some photos repeat, the concept is similar in them but that’s how it is when you’re looking for that specific frame that will suit your idea in the best possible way. I decided to show the last frame too, even tho it’s basically a variation of the first frame from last post but when I enlarge the original full screen, man, it looks amazing, the detail there is sweet. Now it’s time to work on the biking part, I will probably mix biking with running. I really hope to get some better frames from these two from Nautica in a month, and maybe? maybe an Iron Man in Kentucky but that’s a huge maybe.
Tri Hard II
So the Tri is done, another folder of photos to take care of. Now that I can browse the photos and reflect a bit, I don’t think there’s any other [photographic] category that would focus more on the importance of pre-planning than sports photography. Just alone, the location of the event, position from which you gonna take photos of every part of the race, your timing, right lenses and light , it’s all crucial here. It gets even more complicated if you try to focus on the spirit and affection that athletes have for what they do. It’s all about challenging the finish line time, showing your best, challenging your own abilities. There almost has to be that cinematic feel that you often get from superhero movies etc, 300 comes to mind. Gotta say, it’s a bit cliche any way you look at it, but well, it gets people going so I guess it’s fine.
Tri Hard
I decided it’s time to sort out my bilingual issues once and for all so I installed a plugin that hopefully takes care of that problem. If you want this po Polsku to wcisnij guzik z prawej. I will have to write every post two times but well, it’s better than being limited to one language anyway. A fair price to pay.
Anyway, back to Phily. I knew about this event way before I even planned to create a new sports portfolio but as my athletic wannabe inspirations grew on me I got really hooked on shooting the thing as well as trying to do it, kinda. In just a matter of months, suddenly everything around me was about tri-sports. And it’s like that mostly because T&M do that all the time so what can you do? can’t fight’em, join’em. All they do is talk triathlons and they aim high. Every Saturday (well, almost) a trip to the shore in New Jersey for a swim/bike/run workout (I’m not really doing the swim yet but gonna join the guys this Saturday, maybe, probably, will see, ladies…). It’s great, because I remember early in 2k7 I wasn’t able to maintain a quoter mile sprint run or even just a jog. Sure I was in excellent beer fit pizza shape but that didn’t work out as I initially planned.
